UsMagazine.com seeks a Weekend Editor/Writer to join Us Weekly’s online staff. This is a full-time position with a Thursday through Sunday schedule — working in the office Thursday and Friday, and remotely during the weekend. On Thursday and Friday, the editor will collaborate with the rest of the online staff on writing (and pitching) stories, galleries and other pieces of content. On Saturday and Sunday, he or she will be responsible for keeping the site fresh and relevant as possible, writing and posting breaking celebrity news stories, urgent Us exclusives, Hot Pics, occasional galleries and social media updates.
Candidate should have a minimum two years of experience writing online and in the celebrity space. This position requires a talented, energetic and self-driven writer-editor with sharp news judgment, a mastery of the Us Weekly audience and voice, a passion for celebrity/pop culture, and the ability to work extremely independently.
