Psychology Today has an excellent opportunity for a few smart and talented
interns at our office in NYC. We are a small staff, so you’ll be a key
member of the team. Interns pitch stories and write articles for the
magazine and website. They typically receive 2-3 bylines per issue. Other
duties include working with editors on research and special projects,
proofing print and online copy, helping to manage bloggers and content
online, and occasional light clerical work.
Journalism experience and an interest in human behavior required.
Background in psychology and experience writing science stories not
mandatory, but a plus. Must be able to juggle several tasks and work
autonomously. Interns work May-Aug, 20-40 hours a week. (Indicate if
available to start earlier.) Includes a $20 daily stipend and reimbursement
for commuting costs.
