Our intern program is open to college undergraduates (juniors and seniors), graduate students, and to students who graduated within the past 12 months. We also prefer students that have had at least one prior internship. You do not have to be a journalism major and you do not need your school’s endorsement to apply.
All interns can expect the usual entry-level tasks, like answering phones, making copies, sending faxes. We also use interns to maintain our databases of celebrity events and fashion and beauty products, to answer reader mail (we get a lot!), to obtain and return photos and clothes used in fashion shoots, and to research articles.
There are three terms: Summer (June through August), Fall (late-August/September through December), and Spring (January through May). The application deadline for the Summer program is March 15; the Fall application deadline is July 15; the Spring application deadline is Oct. 15. We pay $7.25 an hour. You would be responsible for finding and paying for your own housing.
