Interior Design Magazine is looking for an editorial graphic designer.
Candidates must be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. This person should be a super energetic creative with strong organizational skills in order to handle all photo submissions and large quantities of art files. The designer will be working closely with the Editor in Chief and Market Editor to design product layouts, front of book articles, and biannual product supplements. Duties include uploading digital files onto the server; reviewing product submissions with the Market Editor; requesting all high resolution images for publication; flowing text for all sections; post-scripting pages; and archiving past issues. Must be a motivated individual who is able to handle the fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest design standards of this monthly magazine.
Requirements:
1-3 years experience working in magazine publishing.
B.A. in Graphic Design.
Must have strong organization and communication skills.
Proficient in QuarkXPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Familiar with desktop publishing processes and procedures. Working with various file formats including EPS, TIF, PDF, and Postscript is a MUST.
Ablility to work well in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
