Claire Pettibone is looking for a full time creative Copywriter for our luxury bridal brand based in Los Angeles. From blogging and social media to product descriptions and web content, this person will work closely with the designer to capture her “voice” and generate daily content for all editorial platforms. You will express the Claire Pettibone brand through words and stories that harmonize with the images and products in the collection. You MUST have prior writing experience within the bridal and/or fashion community perhaps as a blogger, magazine editor, etc. and have a BA in English, Journalism or other creative major. Only candidates with published writing credentials and at least 3 years industry experience need apply. Sorry, no recent grads will be considered…we need a bit more life experience for this! This is a fantastic opportunity to tell the story of our beautiful brand, and become a key contributor in the development of our growing company.
Responsibilities
• Generate articles that flawlessly embody the CP voice, style and philosophy
• Write product descriptions, merchandising stories, headlines and captions, and collaborate on (and ultimately ghost-write) the designer’s blog
• Work closely with the designer and owner on content strategy and selection
• Develop and maintain marketing calendar, and ensure all collateral is completed on time and accurately
• Act as liaison between members of our creative team
Qualifications
• B.A. in Journalism or English
• Must live in Los Angeles for this full-time in-house position (no freelance, no telecommuting)
• Over three years of experience writing and managing content in online and/or print media in the fashion, beauty, and/or bridal industry
• A desire to be involved with an entrepreneurial company
• Must be obsessed with weddings, and especially vintage-inspired, boho chic
• A strong understanding of the CP voice and her unique style within the bridal world
• A love of pre-Raphaelite and Victorian art and knowledge of art and/or fashion history
• A poetic sensibility with a dose of wit, humor and warmth that shines through in writing
