MVP|NY publishes two monthly travel magazines about New York City—IN New
York and Where New York—plus our annual GuestBook. The editorial department
is seeking an intern to assist with everyday tasks such as researching,
fact-checking, writing listings, writing blog, etc. There will be opportunities to write
short items and sidebars with byline credit.
Requirements:
An English or Journalism major.
Familiarity with New York City culture and happenings.
Proofreading skills and keen attention to detail.
Good telephone manner and an eagerness to learn.
Available 2-3 days a week.
The internship is unpaid, but offers hands-on experience at a monthly
publication and training in programs such as InCopy.
All applicants MUST be current students able to receive college credit. No exceptions.
