Variety, the premier entertainment resource, is seeking an Editorial Intern to join their Los Angeles office. Responsibilities include assisting editors and reporters with research duties, maintaining reviews and obituaries databases, answering the editorial phone line, writing news
briefs,and various editing and layout tasks. In addition, this internship will allow the candidate to report news stories for print and/or the web. Freelance writing opportunities may become available. Ideally, candidates are juniors or seniors in college or recent graduates, who are able to commit to the internship for 6 months. Journalism majors preferred. He/She must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to articulate clearly. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the entertainment industry.
