Pink and Black is an online magazine for women ages 18-22. We are currently looking for a Life editor. Editors are in charge of their section of the magazine. They are expected to communicate regularly with their staff writers and the Editor in Chief, meet deadlines on stories, contribute a column relevant to their section and promote their section’s articles through their own social media accounts. Editors will also be asked to pitch article ideas on a monthly basis and update their section’s editorial assignment calendar. Plus, every section editor receives a column and is expected to write weekly posts relevant to their section’s topics.
The ideal candidates are up with the latest trends/concerns in their aspiring section and is open minded. The candidates must be proficient in grammar, be familiar with AP Style, be able to virtually manage a team of about 3-5 people and be passionate about magazine journalism.
