W Magazine Photo Department is seeking responsible and detail oriented interns for the Winter/Spring 2013 semester. Candidates must be organized and reliable. Duties will include assisting the Photography Department in
tasks included, but are not limited to:
-logging in and out photographs in our filemaker program
-photo research for photo editors
-portfolio requests/returns
-assistant on photo shoots
-help with casting and location scouts
-creating contributor lists to send issues
-sending magazines and tears to contributors
-printing/scanning images
-copying images/paperwork for research and archival purposes
Must be available to work either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, 2-3 full days a week and able to receive college credit. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and the Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. Internship will start early January and end early May.
