Overview: American Express Publishing is seeking a travel-savvy, detail-oriented digital savant to help manage and grow our database of venue listings (hotels, restaurants, etc.) for Travel + Leisure and Food & Wine. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who will “own” and nurture our rapidly expanding listings and guide content.
Responsibilities:
- Input and tracking of venue listings from print issues
- Write/edit/update property descriptions
- Help keep listings up-to-date
- Work across teams (editorial, photo, production, technology) to ensure integrity of data
- Maintain style guide and database consistency
- Produce monthly progress and status reports
- Manage other listing/database-oriented projects
Must have:
- A passion for travel and food
- Experience working in digital formats and databases
- Stellar writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMSs)
- Prior data management preferred
- College degree, preferably in newmedia, journalism, communications, or library science
