Television Without Pity is looking for dedicated, TV-obsessed spring interns to work both full and part-time in our New York office. This is a hands-on position that will leave you with an impressive writing portfolio (and a few bucks in your pocket).
Daily duties include:
-Writing news items and articles.
-Writing reviews of TV shows and movies.
-Writing opinionated blog posts.
-Posting links to the site’s content on social media platforms.
-Assisting the editorial team with researching entertainment topics.
-Assisting the editorial team with publishing content.
-Contributing ideas for new editorial ideas.
-If interested, interviewing TV and movie celebrities.
An ideal candidate will:
-Have published writing about entertainment in a student publication, a professional publication, or a personal blog.
-Have a passion and knowledge of television and other pop culture.
-Be extremely detail-oriented.
-Be able to work under daily deadlines.
-Have familiarity with basic HTML.
-Have familiarity with popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, Tumblr and Pinterest.
Mandatory requirements:
-You must be able to receive college credit for this unpaid internship.
-Must come into our office to work, either part-time or full-time
-Must be a junior, senior, or grad student.
