Prevention is looking for a spring intern (January-May) for the magazine’s editorial department. Applicants must receive college credit for the internship, and the position is 2 – 3 days (minimum 15 hours) a week, unpaid, in the magazine’s New York City office. Duties include contributing research and reporting for Prevention health, nutrition and fitness stories, pitching ideas for front-of-book columns, transcribing interviews, and assisting editors administratively. The ideal candidate would be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior interested in a career in consumer magazines who has written for a student-run paper, magazine or website and/or held a previous editorial internship at a website, newspaper, or magazine.
