Prevention.com is looking for two talented, quick, and clever winter/spring interns (January - May) to work with the site’s editorial team. Duties include pitching and writing daily news items, writing newsletters, helping with social media (Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook), assisting the senior editors as needed in the day-to-day operation of the site, working with the website’s content management system, and bringing fun, smart ideas to our creative editorial meetings.
The ideal candidates have a passion for health, wellness, and mental health, and are a rising sophomore, junior, or senior interested in a career in journalism. Ideally, you’ve written for a student-run paper, magazine or website, done an editorial internship in the past, have a passion for online media and social media, and have a general understanding of HTML.
Applicants must receive college credit for the internship, and the position is 2–3 days (minimum 15 hours) a week, unpaid, in the magazine’s New York City office.
