The editor will work from home and report directly to the online editor. Primary tasks include pitching and writing daily posts for Gotham’s Insight blog, copy for a weekly newsletter, and calendar events. Subject matter varies from lifestyle and fashion to fine dining and culture. Candidates should have impeccable copy editing and writing skills, a knack for writing compelling, sticky web content geared toward a sophisticated and affluent reader, and a wide range of industry contacts.
Responsibilities:
File two 150-200 word blog posts per day, including one lengthier roundup per week
File one to three assigned newsletter items per week
File 15 to 20 calendar items per month
Source images for all copy submitted
Fact check all copy submitted
