Local publisher of parenting media, including multiple print publications
and a website, is looking for an all-hands-on-deck-type to manage workflow
and production of the parenting group. Should be organized, efficient,
fluent on a Mac and in InDesign, Excel, and Word, able to work well
independently and as part of a team, a strong leader, and function at peak
under deadline pressure.
The production editor will work in layouts, maintain production schedules,
communicate among various departments and freelancers, manage images, and
have a good eye for detail. Some experience with copyediting or proofing is
a bonus but not required; and there is room for some SEO/web-posting work,
as well. Perfect opportunity for an entry-level person or former freelancer
with the right computer and layout experience and a desire to learn more
about publishing.
