Twist is a monthly tween beauty, fashion, and entertainment magazine located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, a short ride via public transportation from New York City.
This Art/Photo Assistant position is the perfect opportunity for recent graduates looking to get their foot in the door of the magazine industry. If you have a passion for pop culture, a go-to attitude and a strong interest in all things tween entertainment we want to hear from you!
This position reports to the Art Director and Photo Editor and includes both photo and production responsibilities. We work under fast-paced deadlines, so proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop CS4 is essential. Duties include, but are not limited to, scanning images, updating the thumb walls, shipping pages to production, converting and preparing image files for print and web, assisting photo editor with photo research and credit information, communicating with photo agencies and all departments of the magazine, and administrative duties.
Knowledge of siloing and pre press production, as well as a degree in design, photography, or media is preferred.
This is a part time, freelance, hourly position.
