New York magazine is currently seeking a Freelance Jr. Production Designer to assist in the design and production of the Weddings Spring 2012 issue.
The ideal candidate for this position should have 3+ years
of experience in editorial design/production and familiarity working with this type of content.
Very thorough knowledge of K4 Publishing System and CS5 is a must as well as excellence in handling complex page design and typography.
This position will work very closely with the Art Director, photo editors and editors under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities include designing pages, attaching text to layouts, preparing files, creating mini boards of layouts/photos and submitting proofs to editors.
This is a 2-month position starting around January 9.
