New York Family Magazine is recruiting interns for the fall. This is an
especially good internship for someone interested in a writing or editing
career focused on “lifestyle” journalism, covering subjects like health
and fitness, education, green living, home design, travel, culture,
special needs, and of course family. You will work on short- and
feature-length stories for the print magazine and website, honing your
craft and building a portfolio of great clips.
We welcome interns of any age or background, from undergrads to
career-changers, so long as they have the right combination of talent,
interest, and commitment. We can offer a lot of flexibility in terms of
hours and days, including the option of working from home much of time if
that is helpful.
