New York Magazine is looking for an intern to assist in our photo department for school credit only.
We are looking for someone very organized, comfortable working in a fast past environment, and who is excited to learn how a weekly Magazine operates. Interns should have a strong work ethic, be able to follow directions and work independently at times, must have a keen eye for detail with a background in a photographer preferred. Intern responsibilities include photo research, maintaining the photo archives, assisting on photo shoots, logging-in and returning art, being a contributing member during creative meetings, and possibly undertake some photography assignments if skills permit. General administrative duties will also be expected.
Interns should be comfortable and effective communicating over the phone, in person, and via e-mail. Experience researching images with stock agencies a plus. Photography and media majors preferred.
Preferred 2 days per week minimum must currently reside in or close proximity to New York City semester long, year long, and summer internships are available.
