OUT is seeking photo interns with a passion for both commercial and art
photography, as well as a strong familiarity with contemporary culture in
relation to the gay urban lifestyle. Interns should have a good work ethic,
be able to work independently, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities
include photo research, assisting on photo shoots, being a contributor
during creative meetings, scouting locations, and possibly undertaking some
photography assignments if skills permit. General administrative duties
are expected. All interns must have knowledge of Photoshop, Microsoft Excel
and Word programs, with a basic understanding of Mac OS. Most importantly,
all interns should be comfortable and effective communicating over the
phone, in person, and via e-mail. Internships are unpaid but are available
for course credit.
