We are looking for freelance reporters and witty columnists for Encino
Patch, which is part of the Patch.com family of community news websites.
Specifically, we need people who are interested in covering local
government, police & fire stories, feature stories, human interest/business
profiles, sports and civil litigation cases. Reporters are invited to pitch
story ideas on any local topic whenever possible.
We are also looking for columnists to run at least once every two weeks.
Topics include pets, parenting, real estate, financial planning and
gardening. Columnists can also suggest topics in addition to those
mentioned.
Freelancers must have prior journalism experience, live in or near the
towns being covered and have a camera (standalone, not cell phone quality).We pay $25-$100 per article.
