The Associate Editor works on key areas on Parents.com, including news and lifestyle content, and plays a vital role in developing a robust Parents online community. This position collaborates with print staff to bring best-in-class ideas to Parents.com. The Associate Editor also:
-Develops and executes editorial material
-Assists in the creation of innovative tools and services
-Leverages metrics to research and ensure editorial plans align with consumer needs
-Monitors competitor activities in the category and implements strategies to maintain a leadership position.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
-Minimum two years experience writing or editing for a media brand
-Direct digital experience preferred
-Excellent written/verbal communication skills
-Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
-Knowledge of and/or demonstrated experience in digital media
-Excellent collaboration skills
-Creative thinker who can work cross-platform
