ACT FAST: The Eat Out section at Time Out New York magazine is seeking a spring intern to start immediately.
Our goal is to find an individual who has a strong interest in magazine journalism and also enjoys following NYC’s culinary/dining scene. Candidates must be available to work three–five days a week. Responsibilities include fact-checking our online restaurant guide as well as the listings in our weekly publication, sourcing food-and-drink-themed events throughout the city and writing quick-witted, well-researched and topical posts for our blog, The Feed.
Flexibility, speed and willingness to do on-the-fly street reporting a must. Candidates must be able to communicate with restaurant industry contacts with confidence and a professionalism. Online experience is preferred.
This fast paced, deadline-driven environment is not suitable for an individual who needs a lot of down-time. Candidates must be self-motivated, organized and able to dive into projects with confidence. A complete application should include a cover letter, resume and three writing samples (preferably clips).
