High Skool Kronicles is a news blog and social networking community that features opinions, stories, and issues that matter to young adults from across the world. The content of HSK is primarily created by and for young adults. In the past 100 hundred years, telegraphic news has given rise to the self-serving punditry that saturates our news channels day in and day out. Today however, young adults are increasingly more informed about topics ranging from technology and pop culture to art and design. As a political demographic, young adults wield more power now than any other time as proven by their impact on the 2008 US presidential election results.
At HSK we believe in creating a platform where news, opinions, current events, cultural trends, personal ‘kronicles’ and social networking seamlessly unite to voice the expectations of a new generation. We are seeking Bloggers/Writers from the age of 15-25 to become Contributing Editors in categories ranging from Politics, World Issues, the Arts, Technology, Design, Fashion, Entertainment and Sports. Qualifications:
• Strong grammar, composition, and verbal skills.
• Journalism coursework and/or extensive English/writing.
• Multimedia experience
• Ability to conduct online research and compile information for news and feature ideas.
• Self-reliant work ethic with ability to work independently.
• Online technology experience and computer content editing skills
• Online social network experience a plus
