The American Psychotherapy Association and the American Association of
Integrative Medicine are seeking an editor to work at their Springfield,
Mo. headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing production for an 80+ page, quarterly, peer-reviewed journal
Building author recruitment and maintaining relationships with existing
authors
Editing publication content
Working with art director to design publications
Developing content and voice for a new newsletter about integrative
medicine
Copyediting various association marketing materials
Developing online content
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism,Professional/Technical Writing, or a
related field
Editing experience; knowledge of standard copyediting markup
Knowledge of Chicago Manual and APA style
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe
InCopy, and willingness to learn additional applications as needed.
