MVP|NY, which publishes travel magazines about New York City, is looking for interns to assist its editorial department during the Winter/Spring 2010 semester (Jan-May). Duties include assisting the editors by researching, fact-checking, proofreading and writing listings. There are also opportunities to write items with byline credit.
Requirements: familiarity with New York City culture and entertainment; impeccable proofreading skills and knowledge of editing symbols; good telephone manner; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; eagerness to learn. Position is unpaid, but offers valuable hands-on experience and flexible hours, and can be taken for college credit.
Interns should be able to work 2-3 days per week (consecutive days are ideal).
