DISCOVER, the leading science magazine, is looking for an intern for our fast-growing Web site. Our Web interns spend most of their time writing blog posts and working on feature stories and photo galleries for the site, and do only a few non-editorial tasks—no scut work. This is an excellent training ground for a young journalist who wants to develop his/her news
judgment and writing ability, and who wants to learn the workings of online journalism.
We especially welcome applicants who write clearly and vividly, know a good bit about science, have journalism experience, and are Web-savvy.
Our next internship will begin in early January and run through May—the exact dates are flexible. The Web intern works full-time from our office in lower Manhattan, and gets paid $1,000 per month.
