entertainment is essential.
Photo Editor Job Responsibilities:
Research photos in the fashion, beauty and celebrity fields
Maintain working relationship with vendors and agencies
Communicate with editors to determine optimal photographic content and
photo opportunities
Write and manage credits
Prepare images for the web
Negotiate and secure photo rights and contracts
Manage photo budget and billing
Maintain photo archive of past issues
Daily research of celebrity blogs
Maintain quality of images for production standards
Negotiate contracts with vendors
Direct and produce photo shoots as needed
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced
environment, have knowledge of fashion trends and pop culture, and have a
great sense visual hierarchy and photography. Other requirements include:
Experience in licensing photos and be familiar with image usage and
copyright laws
Bachelor¹s degree in related field
Genuine interest in Celebrity imagery
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Maintain good attitude and pleasant demeanor during time crunches
