TheDailyBeast is seeking a junior level video news editor with basic Final Cut Pro video editing skills for our LA office. This role will be able to work an evening schedule to provide support to the Senior Video Producer who is based in New York. The asst. video news editor will research news clips and find relevant web content on an on-going basis and perform video editing for web clips using Final Cut Pro.
Additional Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of and interest in the entertainment industry and be
well versed in celebrity news & current events
- Must have a great eye for compelling videos and can quickly select unique but relevant clips
- Proficient in communication, both written and verbal
- Desire to work in a diverse, start up environment
- Must be able to work in LA office
- 1-2 years experience working with video for a news organization
