Moda Morphos 33 is a fashion organization dedicated to a new generation of fashion editors, writers and stylists. We are currently looking for a small group of talented freelance fashion writers and contributing editors who are serious about fashion from an intellectual, design and industry perspective. What we need:
Fashion writers and contributing editors and foreign correspondents. Must have been previously published in fashion or have 1 feature length and 1 news report fashion sample to submit for consideration. Must know their own voice and not try to write in a forced, fabricated “fashion” tone or voice. Looking for individuals who are highly interested in the industry of fashion, both the creative and business side and can present information in an engaging and in-depth way. Writers with an interest in writing the interview are a plus. We focus on the people behind fashion, not simply the clothes. We are also looking for writers who can marry art and commerce (i.e. write dedicated edtorials for advertisers.) Must have excellent follow-through, copy-editing, and be able to fact-check their own work. Must be resourceful to find contacts and know the proper PR protocol when contacting for information. Must get the story right, the first time.
We have daily deadlines. Interest in covering fashion in the following areas: New York, London, Paris, Milan, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Hong Kong.
What we offer:
Contributing writers and editors will be paid a monthly stipend or retainer fee for their work. Work and deadlines will be set in advance each month.
