Asylum.com is looking for a versatile editor with at least three years of
news experience and investigative chops to oversee the news section of the
men’s lifestyle site. Job responsibilities include coordinating,
assigning, line editing and copy editing pieces by a team of writers,
producing numerous posts a day. Stories will cover a range of topics such
as weird news, food, politics, true crime, sex, entertainment and science,
so knowing how to study up quickly on a topic and find reliable sources
will be necessary. You should have a knack for uncovering new stories and
spotting cultural trends, along with the ability to punch up copy for voice
and details. Experience writing for the Web, promoting content online, and
turning around quality material on a short deadline are all plusses.
