The Independent (www.independent-magazine.org) a 30-year old publication
now printed as an online magazine with 13,000 subscribers is seeking a
volunteer freelance associate editor to do the following:
* Participate in monthly editorial meetings.
* Maintain the roster of writers.
* Assign all articles for upcoming issues.
* Edit stories and deliver for top editorial read
There is the possibility of a small monthly stipend for the work, but in
general this is an unpaid volunteer position to start. The Independent is
published by Independent Media Publications, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization.
