Venus Zine — the internationally circulated magazine that focuses on
women in music and culture — seeks a DIY section editor to start in
August ‘09. The qualified candidate will have experience as a published
writer and editor, a wealth of DIY and design connections, and a creative,
crafty sensibility.
Venus Zine publishes quarterly, and we estimate that the DIY editor needs
to be able to work approximately 35-40 hours per quarter. The DIY editor is
in charge of 8-12 pages per issue and oversees a team of freelance writers,
crafters, and decorators.
You must own a reliable computer and Internet connection and be located in
the U.S. to apply.
This freelance position pays a per-issue contributor’s fee and does not
include benefits.
