There is a part-time reporter position at Purpose Driven Connection, a new Reader’s Digest Association Christian magazine. The pay is hourly, 2-3 days a week in the Midtown office, maybe more depending on our needs. The job will involve research, fact-checking, copy-editing, office tasks, and occasionally some writing — be flexible and willing to do anything!
Requirements:
* Journalism degree or equivalent professional experience
* Strong research and reporting skills. Be thorough and relentless.
* A familiarity with evangelical Christianity, or at least an interest in
religion, is not required but certainly welcome. An awareness of Christian
culture may be helpful in looking for story ideas and information.
* Creativity and flexibility. This is a small staff, so be prepared to
pitch in unexpected ways.
