R. Rock Enterprises has an opportunity for a Managing Editor for the new
content-based website of a surf and skate-related brand.
The Managing Editor will be responsible for content across three
categories: Art, Music and Culture. The Managing Editor will develop story
ideas and manage all aspects of planning and producing feature stories,
blurbs and video pieces.
The following must be delivered each week: Three 500-word feature stories,
one from each category; three to five blurbs on topics such as upcoming
events, event write-ups or reviews; and one two-minute video piece.
The Managing Editor will write a minimum of one feature per week, and at
least six per month, as well as a minimum of two blurbs per week, and at
least 11 per month. The Managing Editor will supervise freelance writers
and an on-staff videographer, and is responsible for staying within budget
and keeping track of invoices.
