Photo: This intern will help review photographers’ portfolios, as well as those from wardrobe, prop, hair and makeup artists. They will learn how to research from photo stock agencies and in-house stock and assist the Photo Director with any day-to-day necessities. Must know Word and Adobe Photoshop (InCopy and Excel can be trained, but please indicate if you already know these). Person must be highly organized, reliable and punctual. Must love magazines and photography!

Articles: Ideally, this intern will already know how to research and write. They will help compile things for the web site as well as write short pieces for the How To section of the magazine. They will be expected to fact-check, and we can train them on the fundamentals of fact-checking if necessary. This intern should be organized and motivated with a good understanding of Woman’s Day.

Lifestyle: This department encompasses Fashion, Beauty and Home. This intern will coordinate the Woman’s Day holiday gift guide as well as fashion and home Christmas shoots. They will be asked to attend press events, cover market shows, contact publicists to find out about new products, call in products, research credit information, assist on shoots and return products. Strong organizational skills and professional interpersonal skills a must, as well as a good attitude and an interest in beauty, fashion and home.
