Videographer/Editor Needed for Internet Travel Program

A New York City based publishing company is looking for a highly creative and reasonably priced off-site Videographer with strong filming and editing skills for an exciting Internet travel program: Spotlight on New York City. The monthly 10-minute show highlights New York City’s top attractions, restaurants, museums, stores and more. View sample at http://mvpny.net/SpotlightOnNYC/index.shtml.

A part-time freelance Videographer will be assigned to shoot interviews and b-roll on a once-a-month basis. The Videographer will be responsible for shooting the venues, editing the footage and working closely with the producer to deliver a cohesive, colorful product.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

- Capturing footage with personal equipment.
- Knowledge and ability to set up and light venues.
- Assisting and taking direction from the producer with full accountability for assigned freelance projects.
- Extensive editing, including color correcting and mixing sound.
- Knowledge of both Mp4 and FLV formats.
- Provide graphics.
- Reviewing edited material.
- Ability to meet deadlines.

Additional Qualifications:

- Must have own equipment: Professional camera (preferably a Sony Z1 or Canon XH A1), boom microphone, wireless microphone and the ability to either rent or provide portable lighting.
- Thorough knowledge of Final Cut Suite or Premier Pro is required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be flexible.
- Must be available to start as soon as possible.
