Us Weekly is currently looking for well-qualified students to intern in the
editorial department of Us Weekly magazine during the Spring 2009 semester.
Interns must be highly-motivated, organized, up-beat and responsible
individuals with an interest in celebrity news and pop culture. Interns need
to understand that they may have to work full days (longer hours) as we work
to meet deadlines to close the issue.
Some duties that will be expected of interns include: transcribing taped
interviews, conducting man-on-the street polls, using Lexis Nexis and other
search engines to find celebrity quotes and other related research,
performing regular office duties, red-carpet interviewing, taking notes on
daily talk shows and, yes, occasionally getting coffee.
Internship is unpaid but priceless in terms of experience value. School
credit is available.
