Angeleno magazine, a monthly L.A. lifestyle glossy, is now accepting
applications for its unpaid fall 2008 editorial internship semester, which
runs through the last week of December. The publication focuses on fashion,
dining, nightlife, home design, beauty, travel, Hollywood, and the arts.
Duties primarily include fact-checking, proofing, research, party coverage,
editing calendar listings, and occasional short writing assignments.
Front-of-book story pitches are encouraged. Interns, in short, spend the
vast majority of their time interacting with editorial copy, although some
standard office duties are incorporated into their days. Recent graduates of
the program have gone on to entry-level positions at Elle Décor, Self,
Hollywood Life, Flaunt, the L.A. Times, LA.com, Gayot.com, BizBash, Fit
Pregnancy, Riviera, and Angeleno.
Applicants must commit to either a Mon/Wed or Mon/Fri rotation, from 9:30am
to 6pm.
