Popular Science seeks a temporary marketing and editorial assistant to work on a special project this summer. The position is full time; daily hours vary, but you should assume standard magazine hours and be flexible to come in early or stay late when needed. The job entails identifying and contacting companies to solicit entries for our annual Best of What’s New awards program. Candidate should have great energy and a pleasant phone manner. Good organizational skills and persistence are essential. No previous magazine experience necessary, but this is a great chance to get your foot in the door at an established, award-winning publication. Ideal for recent college grad, especially someone with an interest in technology and gadgets. Position starts ASAP and ends September 7. Pay is $600 per week.
