Passport Magazine, America’s #1 Gay and Lesbian Travel Magazine, is
hiring a P/T Associate Editor for its New York Office. Associate Editor
maintains and creates the “World Beat” calendar, fact-checking and line
editing, generates(2-4) sidebars that spotlight travel accessories, books,
events, etc. for each issue. AE also assists the Editor-in-Chief with
interaction with writers and PR agencies, attends trade expos and PR events
to promote the magazine, and obtains and then traffics art to Art Director.
While the position is writing-intensive, it’s an opportunity to sharpen
your own editing skills as well as being able to take initiative and create
your own stories. Traveling and trips are a part of the job, and can be as
adventuresome and ambitious as you are.
