A special beauty/fashion publication is looking for a freelance copy editor (from 5/19 through about 6/20). Candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience copyediting for a national publication, including beauty, health and celebrity pieces. We need someone with exceptional copyediting and InCopy skills, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, and a working knowledge of Chicago. Must be able to produce quality work under extreme deadline conditions and to juggle multiple pieces. Must be a conscientious self-starter with a strong work ethic who doesnt need close supervision. Must be willing to work late nights, if required, toward the end of the close. A copyediting test will be given to qualified candidates.
