The Chicago Collection magazine, a quarterly luxury lifestyle glossy, is now seeking a few additional summer interns to start ASAP. The publication focuses on fashion, dining, culture, beauty, travel, shopping, and the arts, but the summer interns will work on the Fall issue which will be devoted completely to fashion, shopping and beauty. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of magazine publishing, from assisting on photo shoots, calling in and tracking clothing samples for shoots, attending and planning events, as well as pitching, writing and editing copy. Duties primarily include fact-checking, research, trend research and compilation, visiting and writing copy about neighborhood boutiques, calling/tracking samples. Strong knowledge of fashion and beauty is preferred. Applicants must commit to at least 8-12 hours per week, pref. Mondays and Fridays.
