CMPMedica-Healthcare Magazines is looking for a copy editor. Some major responsibilities include: Copy editing manuscripts for style, grammar, punctuation, consistency, and clarity. Reading page proofs and entering corrections into the electronic file. Checking closing material (cover, table of contents, ad index). Checking all editorial material against the schematic for folios, footlines, continued lines, and runover heads. Checking bluelines from printer. Minimum requirements include: 1 - 2 years of experience in copy editing (medical copy editing experience and knowledge of AMA style are pluses). BachelorÕs degree. Excellent organizational and grammar skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word; knowledge of Quark Copy Desk a plus. Ability to handle a large volume of detailed work under tight deadlines.
