Hachette Shelter Mag Senior Editor

Hachette Filipacchi is seeking a senior editor to report, write, assign, edit and occasionally produce articles about remodeling, makeovers, decorating, organizing, electronics and kitchens and baths for one of its shelter publications. Responsibilities include generating story ideas, conceptualizing, assigning and line editing stories on the above topics. Must be able to see a piece through from concept to finished pages following production guidelines and deadlines. Ability (and contacts) to find locations for the magazine a plus. Candidate will attend trade shows and press events, report on trends and contribute to a shelter portal. A minimum of 5 years’ related experience is required with excellent writing and line-editing skills. Must be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, pitch in where necessary and work well with a busy staff. Posted 9/13/07
