Hachette Filipacchi is looking for two associate editors at two of its shelter magazines. We’re seeking experienced editors to report, write, assign and first edit articles about remodeling, makeovers, decorating, organizing, electronics, kitchens and baths, as well as research products. Responsibilities include pitching story ideas, and conceptualizing, assigning and first editing stories on the above topics. Must be able to see a piece through from concept to finished pages, following production guidelines and deadlines. Chosen candidates will assist with special projects, translate magazine edit to a shelter portal, attend press events and help with administrative duties. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ related experience with excellent writing and line-editing skills.
