Gen Art, the leading organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists, is seeking a web-savvy intern to help us manage our rapidly growing online presence. You’ll be our Foreman of Facebook, our Maestro of MySpace, responsible for keeping our online communities happy, engaged, and, most importantly, growing! No experience required, but successful candidates will be active users of at least one major social network (Facebook, MySpace, etc) who understand the dynamics of online communities. Gen Art offers a smart, fun work environment and access for you and a guest to all our fabulous events! Responsibilities: Maintain Gen Art presence on Facebook, MySpace, Going, iMeem, and other social networks to keep content fresh, field friend requests and respond to other inquiries Grow Gen Art community base on social networks. Discover new ways to make our social networks interact with one another. Drive traffic to Gen Art websites from social networks. Actively post on our behalf to other peoples’ profiles. Seek out like-minded blogs and engage their community with insightful comments. Post Gen Art events on community calendars like Upcoming.org, Eventful, Google Calendar, etc. Keep our Flickr photo gallery up-to-date. Post Gen Art videos to YouTube, Revver, Veoh, etc. Desired Skills: Outstanding communication skills. Comfortable using online interfaces to write, post photos & videos, send messages, etc. Self-starter
