Page Six Magazine Copy Chief

Page Six magazine, a new celebrity/lifestyle weekly, is seeking an experienced copy chief. Responsibilities: Copyedit text for weekly issue. Work effectively with all levels of editorial and art staff to arrive at mutually agreeable solutions. Manage and oversee copy editor. Qualifications: B.A. in English or journalism or equivalent experience. At least three to five years experience in magazine copyediting, ideally for weekly consumer mags. Skills in Microsoft Word and Adobe InCopy and K4 (or Quark Copydesk and QPS). Extreme familiarity with AP, Chicago and Words Into Type. Comfort with technical material and ability to make it readable. Ability to take initiative and prioritize under deadline pressure.
