You must be an experienced, skilled writer who truly “gets” the company’s fun, witty tone without much coaching, prompting or editing. You will be writing and pitching caregiving articles for the online library. Caregiving categories include nannying, house sitting, tutoring and elder care. Skills and Requirements: Superior writing skills, a strong command of language and a clear voice. A clear understanding of Sittercity’s non-corporate tone, style and voice, and the ability to reflect that in your writing * Writing samples and/or portfolio of published clips! Effortless editing and proofreading skills. Experience writing for the web. Proven track record of meeting deadlines. Independence and autonomy – the ability to write articles without being closely monitored. Familiarity with feature-style articles, as opposed to news, business or corporate pieces. Thorough research and fact-checking skills. Even better if you have an interest in caregiving, experience as a nanny/tutor/house sitter/elder care provider, experience writing for parents/care seekers.
