Lifetime (TV) is seeking a proactive copy chief for its new-media team. Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years’ copyediting experience, strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of AP style and the ability to make quick style decisions and thrive in a fast-paced environment, plus have website experience and familiarity with Web-authoring tools. Responsibilities include copyediting articles, quizzes, display and promotional copy, newsletters, and mobile and video content. Subject matter includes the following: lifestyle (health, relationships, beauty, entertainment, etc.), horoscopes, games, public affairs, business development, and programming (movies and shows). He or she must also manage a number of off-site freelance copy editors, keep track of the department’s work flow, do limited fact checking, and maintain and update house style as needed.
